Can't.Stop.Spinning.

I had to literally tear myself away from my manic spinning in order to work today. It was pathetic. All I could think about today was spinning and knitting hand spun yarn. Obviously the class I went to was a raving success. It was on Sunday, and I've been spinning every spare moment since (except at the University District Street Fair... it was too crowded to spin). Here's my progress as of last night:

You can see progress from the small white skein (bottom, first) to the cream skein (top, third). Hubbie bought me a TON (or 8 oz... I'm not quite sure) of the cream fiber for Christmas. He also bought the rosey fiber. I picked up the multi-colored roving at Weaving Works (also where the class was held). What a steal! I'm hoping to knit a sweater-y something with the cream yarn after I "set the twist" and dye it (kool-aide, of course... I'm staying true to my roots). Here is hubbie giving the remaining fiber some lovin.

And yes, in case you are still interested at all in knitting (which I guess you have to do when you stop spinning eventually), I finished my socks in record time! They're from KPPM (I think). A la Valentine's day present from hubbie. My first socks knit with a circular needle, and I think I'm never looking back!

My birthday is later this week... maybe I'll get another crafty present from hubbie?
