Mellow yellow

After being depressed about our surroundings (living in a hotel room is so much less glamorous than it sounds), hubbie decided that drastic times call for drastic measures. We went to the store and bought some paint and painted one of our walls. Since he's color blind, I got to pick it out! I chose marigold (isn't yellow supposed to make you happier?) and we went home and finished painting it in about an hour. We also rearranged our furniture (all 3 pieces of it) to create more space in the room. It made a huge difference and I can now live here for a few more months happily (or almost). We need to paint the other walls because we damaged them, but I'm not sure a marigold room would be a good idea (a little is fine, but too much is tooooo much). I'm not sure what to do with the other walls. Any ideas?
Oh, and yes, that is hubbie's old snowboard suspended from the ceiling. This is his idea of art.. do you see what I'm dealing with here?

I love the marigold! The snowboard reminds me of my husband's idea of art - a framed golf flag from the Masters tournament... which sits propped up against a wall in our apartment b/c the thing is HUGE and there is nowhere to hang it.
