Obsession... by NatureKnitter

It's rediculous! Ever since my spinning class last weekend, I can't stop! It's a problem. I've gone through all of the undyed fiber from hubbie and am now on to the rose colored stuff. The only reason I have time to blog is because I am currently dying the yarn and can't watch. Must wait 30 minutes. Must preoccupy self. As you can see in the close up, I'm getting much better. The progress goes from left (earlier work) to right (most recent). I'm very proud of righty.I bought some more fiber with some birthday money (that's right. I'm officially one year wiser) and am hoping to spin some yarn for socks. Two pairs (one for hubbie and one for me). I'm going for "summer socks" with short cuffs. But I'm getting ahead of myself. I want to make something with this natural fiber. It's not enough for a sweater, but too much for a smaller project. I'm thinking maybe a cardigan or something... is it called a bolo or bolero or something (and do I really want to sport a fashion that I can't pronounce?)?

And, in a eat-local update, we got some tomatoes at the Farmer's Market this weekend! I've been waiting for something "summery" to come into season. Strawberries can't be far behind! I'll have a eat-local summary when the month is over (later this week).

Must get back to spinning.

Boleros. There are some cute patterns out there. That's one of my next project ideas. As soon as I finish that tank top.... Mindless stockinette....

I love heirloom tomatos, and the spinning looks great!
