Finito

I finished Green Gable yesterday and wore it to the yarn store in search of some new needles for a project. The sweater was recognized right away and I felt instantly "in the know". I also finally made it to the local craft store that is going out of business. The only yarn left was fun fur, so instead I bought some fabric and other odds and ends. Anyway, I came home to start my next project, Lace Leaf Pullover. I was so excited. I had some ugly yarn that I was going to dye when I was finished. I had seven skeins and the pattern only calls for five, so I was stoked. Then I started knitting, and realized that one skein wasn't going very far.

After using two skeins, I measured them and found that they were less than 1/2 of the size of the skeins it calls for! This means I'm short at least 3 skeins. And it's so old I'll never find more of it. It looks like I'm back to the drawing board. At least I have some fabric to sew!

GG looks lovely. It was the next project on my list, but I'm trying to finish up the other 23498 projects I have started...
